PhD in Medicine
The Doctoral Program in Medicine at FMUP seeks to provide graduate doctors with an integrated vision of clinical and investigational areas, preparing them to integrate differentiated teams in different contexts of action and medical education, from hospital medicine to preventive medicine.
The objective is that graduates acquire skills and basic scientific education given by physicians with active involvement in health care, enabling them to carry out research and, consequently, to write a doctoral thesis with an original contribution, supported by scientific publications.
The Program lasts six semesters, for a total of 180 ECTS.
